Working groups
All members of the Bundesvereinigung Kreditankauf und Servicing have the opportunity to participate in working groups. The following working groups have currently been set up:

The task of this working group is to present the NPL market and its significance for the German and European banking system. The annual NPL Barometer is the result of this work.

This working group discusses and categorises draft legislation at national and European level in order to take a stand for the NPL sector vis-à-vis the German government, the EU Commission and the supervisory authorities.

Dealing responsibly with debtors is one of the most important goals for our members. The BKS Code of Conduct is continuously being developed in this working group.

One of our contributions to the NPL discourse is our data protection working group, which deals with data protection aspects of NPL sales. Among other things, a guideline and an expert opinion on the impact of the GDPR on the NPL industry have emerged from this working group.

The working group discusses legislative procedures at EU and federal level and formulates the position of the BKS on these issues for politicians and the public.

The following models have been developed to date in the working group on model contracts:
- NPL purchase agreement for collateralised receivables
- NPL purchase agreement for unsecured receivables
- Credit service agreement
The current versions can be downloaded from the members’ area.
